So Many Words, So Little Time.
Welp, the time is here. This article will stand as the one-year mark of The Weekly Standard. I’m not even going to begin going over all the topics I was thinking as the focus for this one… then I started contemplating if I should just do an annual recap. But to be honest with you, I want to take this time to reflect a bit and thank you for being a part of this. So a fair warning: there will be no topic breakdowns or training protocols in this one. And don’t worry, I’ll keep it short.

I’m not entirely sure that it comes across this way, but I thoroughly love writing this newsletter. I know… that’s a strong word. But honestly, whether it’s The Standard, Unmasked, or one of my more philosophical dives, writing this newsletter means a lot to me.
Of course I’d love for you to try my coaching, and yes, I run advertisements on most issues… but only because every click on those ads gives me a small kickback that helps pay for keeping this newsletter going. It feels like it should be free, but you know how the world works now, nothing comes without some kind of cost. So if you see an ad at the bottom of any of my posts and have a second, a quick click is an easy, free way to support these articles. You don’t have to buy anything or do anything else.
Alright, I got off on a bit of a tangent there. But I’ve been wanting to explain myself for a while now, so there you go.
I’m a big believer in reading and writing. Not to the extent that everyone needs to start their own newsletter (though lately it seems like it’s either a newsletter or a podcast). Both of those skills are still incredibly valuable. This is why I chose the newsletter format. Not only do I get to write in the field I actively practice, teach, and study, but I can share it in a powerful, lasting way. You can come back to any of these articles anytime to help guide your own journey; all through the written word. And believe it or not, that’s becoming rarer. More and more people are now relying on short-form content or even long-form videos designed for low attention spans.
With that said, I want to take this last bit to express how much I appreciate you taking the time to read my articles. I do my best to bring you accurate and digestible content, but none of it would be possible without readers like you. So again, thank you. I hope you’ll continue to let me bring you all the insights, methods, and breakdowns from my personal and professional strength and conditioning training and mindset.
